Lingerie Buyer's Guide: Introduction

Tuesday 3rd January 2006

While shopping for lingerie, you may have many questions about fabric, fit, and styles. In the Lingerie Buyer’s Guide, you can find the answers to these questions. Over the next few days, I’ll be posting sections of the Lingerie Buyer’s Guide. Today, it’s the introduction.

Ample Pleasure offers several styles of lingerie: bras, babydolls, body stockings, chemise, corsets, bustiers, nightgowns, teddies, and pajamas. For holidays, such as Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas, we expand our offerings to include special products. During Halloween, for example, we also offer costumes. In almost every style, there are items that range from demure to risque. We also carry a healthy selection of bridal and special occasion lingerie.

Lingerie also comes in several types of material, like satin, charmeuse, silk, lace, and chiffon. Most of our items are made of stretch material for comfort and fit. It is understandable if some of the materials offered seem foreign. One of the posts will be dedicated to navigating the world of lingerie materials.

The combination of the style and fabric determine how the item will fit. For example, chemise are typically cut close to the body, making it a close fit. However, a stretch lace chemise will provide more wiggle room, while flattering all of your curves with the close fit.
